Port Congestion from US West Coast to Asia

Effective November 17, 2014
Dear Valued Customers,
Today (November 14) we have received a notice from Hyundai Merchant Marine as shown attached,
which is notifying that the port congestion charge will be applied from West ports to Asia.
For 20 ft container $240/unit
For 40ft/ 40ft HC/45ft units $300/unit
This will be effective for all cargos received by HMM on or after November 17, 2014.
Meanwhile, any official notice has not been notified yet by Hanjin shipping,
but we have confirmed with inside sales that Hanjin will do the same as HMM, and the official announcement will
be made sometime next week.
We will notify you with its effective date, once we have received from Hanjin officially.

금일(11월 14일) 현대상선에서 첨부와 같이, 미 서부 항만에서 아시아로 출항하는
모든 컨테이너에 대해 부두 혼잡세 (Port Congestion Surcharge)를 부과 하겠다고 통보하여왔습니다.
시행일자는 다음주 월요일(11월 17일)부터 CY/Port에 반입되는 container에 부과 예정이라고 합니다.
20 ft : $240/컨테이너
40ft/ 40ft HC/45ft : $300/컨테이너
한편, 한진해운에서는 아직 공식적인 발표는 하지 않았으나 저희가 내부적으로 조사한 바로는
한진도 다음주에 부두 혼잡세 부과를 발표할 예정이며, 금액은 현대와 같을 것이라고 합니다.
공문을 받는데로 시행일자와 함께 다시 통보 드리도록 하겠습니다.
