On the early morning from 5 to 8am of Sep 26th, 2014, a fire incident at the Federal Aviation Administration control center around Chicago affected ORD Airport.
Many flights in and out of Chicago’s O’Hare International and Midway airports were stopped in the morning and planes destined for Chicago airports wasn’t able to depart until at least 10 a.m. CT (11 a.m. ET).
Due to this incident, More than 360 flights scheduled to depart O’Hare were canceled, as were 79 from Midway airport.
However, ORD Airport is recovered from the incident and operates as scheduled from this afternoon. Most of international cargo flights will be arrived in evening; therefore, they should not be affected directly.

화재로 인한 시카고 공항 지연

9월 26일 오전에 미국 시카고 인근 항공교통 관제센터의 방화로 인한 화재로, ORD 공항 이착륙에 지연이 있었습니다.
관제센터의 용역 직원의 방화로 인한 화재로 2시간 내로 진화 되었지만, 관련 설비 손실로 인하여 많은 비행 스케쥴이 아침 10시까지 취소되는 상황이었습니다.

금일 오후부터 시카고 공항은 다시 본래의 스케쥴로 진행되고 있으며,
시카고로 들어오는 국제 화물기들은 대부분 저녁 시간에 도착하기에, 수입화물의 진행에 있어 별다른 지연은 없을 것으로 예상됩니다.
