Freight and logistics companies of all sizes, from global multinationals to national and regional players, were among the winners at this year’s Global Freight Awards, with the winners unveiled last night at a glittering event in London at the Royal Lancaster Hotel.

UK-based freight forwarder Unsworth was the only third-party logistics operator to walk away with two awards this year, with other freight forwarders and logistics companies among the winners including Charles Kendall Freight, Metro Shipping, Deugro, and Caliber.global. DP World was also a double-winner, named Port Operator of the Year and with its DP World Southampton operation taking the Product Innovation Award.

On the carrier side, there were wins for Maersk, MSC, HMM, Grimaldi, Freightliner, Maritime Transport, MACS Shipping Line, and Pall-Ex, while digital road freight brokerage platform Ontruck picked up this year’s Digital Transformation Award. And the Lifetime Contribution to Freight award went to Robert Keen, director general of the British International Freight Association (BIFA).
